Before reading the article about the sisters I knew that it was obviously about sisters enjoying funny things that make them laugh. I personnally questioned the title, asking myself "what is so funny?" and "how well do the sisters get along?" The article is most likely going to be funny because the title forshadows a comical and funny idea.
After reading the article I realized that the article was not all that funny. It is about two sisters who are refugees who escape from Pakistan. They escape from Pakistan to get away from Saddam Hussein. When they escape they come to America where they know that they will be safe. After looking at the facts of the article and seeing many things in the news it occured to me how good we really have it here in America. Other countries like Pakistan lack the resources and technology that we are so blessed to have in America. I hope that one day Pakistan and other countries can all be as advanced as the United States and I hope that all the countries can resolve their government problems.

This was a very interesting story about how they struggled in the middle east but finally made it over here in the United States of America.
ReplyDeleteRalf, I too hope that countries such as Pakistan can resolve thier differences and government problem. Yes, after seeing how difficult life can be in other countries, we can feel blessed that things are not so bad in in the U.S.
